We also sell Deluxe Stackable Worm Farms – a perfect place to house these little hard workers if you do not have ample space for larger worm farms. Within weeks the composting worms and stackable worm farm will produce VermiCompost and VermiTea to boost your garden!  You will have less food waste, which eliminates smelly kitchen bins and help our planet.

Did you know?

• Red wigglers have no eyes, ears, or teeth.
• Although they have no eyes, they still don’t like direct, bright light and will burrow down in their bedding to escape it. They only work in the dark.
• Muscles break down all food in their gizzards, as they have no teeth. Butternut and watermelon are favourites.
• Red wigglers can eat half of their body weight in food every day.
• These composting worms have both male and female organs.
• They prefer a cool and moist environment.
• Coconut Coir, wet egg boxes, damp shredded corrugated carton boxes, well-dried manure, and dried leaves are perfect bedding materials for worm farms.
• Do not feed red wigglers onion, chili, garlic, or citrus fruit, and try to avoid giving them too many potato peels. The potato peels will turn brown after a few hours and become acidic.
• Feed your worms Eco Worm Delight mix when you do not have enough scraps from your kitchen. This mix is a substitute for their normal food.
