Bee Hotels

Create a home for the little, hardworking pollinators in your garden with our bee and insect hotels!

How does it work? A female solitary bee selects a hole of the right size & depth to be her breeding nest.  She flies back & forth in your garden, while collecting pollen and nectar, and mixes it into a paste. Mama bee then places this paste at the back of the hole.  She proceeds to lay her eggs close by to provide food for her young once hatched. The hole is then sealed off.  The young bees are left to grow up safely and all by themselves, feeding on the paste left for them. Once they are grown and old enough to break the seal, they will fly off to become the next generation of hard workers.
